About

Meet Justine

Justine seated in her studio, hand on heart, with gong, crystal bowls, and fairy lights

A multi-instrumentalist offering sound-led restoration in the Northern Rivers. Grounded, intuitive, and quietly playful.

Justine comes to this work with over 30 years of high school music teaching (B.Mus, Dip.Ed, UNE) and several years of dedicated sound practice: a Practitioner Diploma in Integral Sound Healing, training in Tibetan bowls and Nad Yoga in Nepal, and study across India. She is also Reiki-attuned (Levels 1–2), a Yin yoga teacher, and a Drumbeat facilitator.

Her move from teaching into sound healing was guided by a desire for a gentler way of life, and to bring sound as medicine to her community, friends, and family. A lifelong relationship with music now works intuitively alongside the medicine of vibration and frequency.

She is based in South Golden Beach, in the Northern Rivers of New South Wales, where she offers one-to-one sessions at her studio and monthly group sound journeys at the local community hall, and will travel to facilitate gatherings elsewhere.

What guides the work

  • Sound as medicine. Not a fix, not a cure. A resonant container in which your own capacity to restore is met.
  • Presence as practice. The work is participatory. You are not done-to; you are accompanied.
  • Listening inward. Spaciousness over spectacle. Felt experience over technical explanation.

What sound can support

The body recognises rhythm and resonance. Guided sound journeys support nervous system regulation, emotional release, and deep relaxation. The work can ease stress and anxiety, gently calm overactive adrenals, and create space for mental and emotional clarity.

Sound is offered alongside, not in place of, medical or therapeutic care.

What's ahead

Look out for future gatherings: collaborations with other sound practitioners, yoga teachers, artists, reiki facilitators, and cacao guides, held in the Northern Rivers and beyond.
